Any combination. Any duration. Across Portugal.
The listed programmes are starting points, not contracts. A custom week starts with a conversation — tell Behrooz your licence level, what you want to improve, how many days you have, and whether you're flying solo or bringing people with you. From there he puts together a daily plan that matches your goals, your ability, and what the weather is actually doing.
Every activity on the site is available as a building block. Coastal ridge soaring from Sesimbra's Atlantic cliffs. Cross-country coaching inland over the Alentejo plains and Serra da Estrela. Ground-handling on the Atlantic dunes. Parakite for experienced pilots ready for ground-proximity flying. Tandem flights arranged for companions, partners or family members who want to fly. Any of these can be combined, in any order, across any number of days.
Custom weeks work particularly well for pilots returning to flying after a break — a day or two of ground-handling before coastal soaring is the natural progression, and it's built in automatically. They also suit small private groups of two to five pilots who want their own dates and their own programme, without joining an existing group.
Pricing follows the activities chosen: coastal soaring days at €80 per pilot per day, XC coaching days at €120 per pilot per day, ground-handling and parakite days at €80 per pilot per day. A mixed week lands somewhere in between. Behrooz confirms the cost per day when the programme is agreed — no surprises.

Example combinations
- Coastal + XC mix — 5 days Three days of Atlantic ridge soaring at Sesimbra to settle in, followed by two days of cross-country coaching over the Alentejo plains. Good for B-licence pilots who want both coastal and thermal experience in the same trip.
- Returning pilot — 7 days Two days of ground-handling on the Atlantic dunes to rebuild inflation confidence, then five days of coastal soaring once Behrooz is happy with your technique. The natural progression, built in from the start.
- Private couple — 7 days One pilot on a full coastal soaring week; partner flying tandem with Behrooz on selected days. All transfers and schedules co-ordinated. Both people flying, on the same trip, on the same coastline.
- Iberian XC + Sesimbra finish — 7 days Five days chasing cross-country conditions across Portugal and Andalusia, then two coastal soaring days back in Sesimbra to close the week. Seven days, two countries, one guide, one transfer included throughout.
Before you come
Custom weeks vary by activity — here's what applies regardless of what you've chosen to fly.
Licence & IPPI card
Bring your national paragliding licence or IPPI card regardless of what you're flying. Portuguese air law requires licensed pilots to carry proof of qualification. A photo on your phone is fine.
Glider & reserve
Glider check and reserve repack within 12 months — required for any flying activity in the programme. If your reserve is overdue, bring it and Behrooz will pack it. For ground-handling only, a visual line check is sufficient.
Equipment by activity
XC days require a GPS variometer and radio (Behrooz provides radios). Coastal days need your standard flying kit. Ground-handling days — flexible clothing and sturdy shoes. Parakite days — knee pads and gloves recommended.
Travel insurance
Standard travel insurance won't cover paragliding. Get a policy that explicitly covers your planned activities — coastal soaring, XC, ground handling and parakite are all distinct in insurance terms. Check before you travel.
Confirm your level
Be specific about your experience when you message Behrooz — hours in the air, licence level, what you've been flying recently. The more accurate the picture, the better the programme he'll build.
Getting here
Fly into Lisbon (LIS) — Sesimbra is 45 minutes from the airport. Behrooz can arrange an airport transfer; ask when you confirm your programme. All sites during the week are reached by private transfer included in the daily rate.
How quickly can Behrooz put together a custom programme?
Most custom paragliding programmes are agreed within a day. Send a WhatsApp or email with your dates, level and what you'd like to fly — Behrooz replies personally, usually the same evening. For a same-week booking, 48 hours is normally enough to confirm a plan. You're not dealing with a booking system.
Can I mix any of the listed paragliding programmes in the same week?
Yes — coastal soaring, XC coaching, ground handling, parakite and the Iberian XC tour are all available as building blocks for a custom week in Portugal. The only constraint is your licence level and the forecast. Behrooz will tell you honestly if a planned combination isn't realistic — and suggest a better alternative.
Is the pricing the same as the listed programmes?
The day rate matches the activity: coastal soaring and ground handling days at €80 per pilot per day, XC coaching days at €120 per pilot per day. A mixed week lands somewhere between those rates. Behrooz confirms the cost per day when the programme is agreed — no hidden fees, no deposit to hold your place.
Can I bring a non-flying partner, family member or friend?
Absolutely. Non-flyers are welcome to ride along in the vehicle and spend time at the sites — many of the launch points in Arrábida and along the Sesimbra coast are genuinely beautiful places to spend a morning with or without a wing. Tandem flights can also be added to the programme for anyone who wants to experience the air themselves.
Can a small group of pilots book a custom week together?
Yes — groups of two to four pilots are very welcome. Behrooz regularly coaches small groups, and the custom format works especially well for pilots at similar levels who want a shared week in Portugal. Message him with the group size and a brief summary of your levels and goals — he'll put together a programme that works for everyone.
